Rhinoplasty Patient 22
Description:
The patient is a 48-year-old female who was dissatisfied with the appearance of her nose and wanted to undergo rhinoplasty. She has a history of rhinoplasty twice before several years ago which resulted in severe scarring and nasal bone asymmetry. She underwent revision in which cartilage was taken from her ear and grafted over the dorsum of her nose. Given the absence and damage lateral cartilage grafts were also placed in these areas to reconstruct the asymmetry and tip collapse. Fracturing of the nasal bones was done to obtain mobility and shift the bones to gain symmetry.
